Wildfire Safety
Fire Safety

Utah is a Fire Wise State
The State Fire Marshal's Office encourages all Utahns to be "fire wise" and ready for the event of a wildfire. Partnering with the Department of Natural Resources and national resources like the NFPA, the SFMO aims to help all Utahns who have the potential to be affected by wildfire become prepared. Online resources, social media awareness campaigns, and media outreach efforts help teach Utahns about the dangers of wildfires and how to keep their property and communities safe.
Firewise Utah has a variety of resources to assist homeowners, program participants, and other wildfire stakeholders as they work towards wildfire risk reduction. Use the links below to learn about annual Firewise USA renewal information, fire safety, and current research regarding different components of the home, their vulnerabilities, and recommendations to reduce risk.
