Mission Statement
To provide state and local jurisdictions with timely hazardous materials
training, planning, and operational assistance. Emphasizing mitigation,
identification, emergency response, and scene management for
chemical, nuclear, biological or terrorism events. HMI is instrumental
in the discovery of new technologies and resources to improve
responder safety.
Vision Statement
The vision of HMI is to provide; that the responders across the state
will have the
equipment, training, and technical support to bring a Hazardous Materials
incident to a safe
conclusion.
