R710-2-10.3 requires that those fire department members, who will be involved
in the fireworks discharge site during the actual discharge, shall complete
a fireworks display safety class yearly. The discharge site is defined as “The
area immediately surrounding the fireworks mortars used for an outdoor fireworks
display.” Please Note: If you are shooting your shows electronically,
only the Shooters and the Operator need to complete this class. The Operator
is the person who has overall responsibility for the show.
The Fireworks Display Safety Class is set up in examination form. The examination
is open book and NFPA, Standard 1123, 2000 edition, will need to be used
to complete the examination. If you do not have a copy our office can
provide you a copy for $25.88 plus postage.
There are two methods available to complete this exam. You may choose to
take the test on the web or download the test. If you chose to proceed
with this web based testing you will be guided through each question
and receive 100%. Just follow the instructions as you proceed.
Satisfactory completion of the examination, if you choose to download the
test, requires receiving a score of at least 70%.You may download the
examination and answer the questions on the answer sheet. Please place
your name and department on the answer sheet.
At the completion of the examination you can send the answer sheet
